The Ministry of Ports and Airports (MPor) informs that, starting today (2), applications for the scholarship program aimed at training aeronautical maintenance mechanics are open. In total, there are 74 free places in Brasília (DF), aimed at people who want to start or consolidate a career in civil aviation.

The program is carried out in collaboration with the National Transport Learning Service (Senat) and is part of the Wings for All Program, of the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac). This is an opportunity to respond to the growing demand for Brazilian air transport, driven by the increase in the number of passengers – 30 million more travelers in 2025 – and the supply of flights with the generation of jobs and qualification of new professionals.
Registration
Registration begins today (2) and continues until February 13, 2026. Interested parties should consult the notice and the list of mandatory documents. Registration can be done in person, at the Sest-Senat unit, in Samambaia (DF) or through the online form on the following channels:

All candidates must have completed high school and be residents of the Federal District or surrounding areas. The selection process adopts vacancy preference criteria, prioritizing:
Low-income people;
Beneficiaries and dependents of federal income transfer programs;
Residents of the Federal District or Surrounding Area;
Those who live close to airports;
Who has proven family ties with aviation workers (up to 3rd collateral degree).
What will the course be like?
The aeronautical maintenance mechanic (MMA) course has 1,200 hours of theoretical training and 240 hours of mandatory internship, spread over approximately 18 months, with the following characteristics:
Technical Course in Aeronautical Maintenance in Avionics, with 24 places at night (6:40 pm to 10:40 pm);
Technical Course in Aircraft Maintenance in Cell, with 25 places at night (6:40 pm to 10:40 pm);
Technical Course in Aeronautical Maintenance in Powerplant Group, with 25 places in the morning (8 am to 12 pm).
Classes will be taught at the Senat unit in Samambaia (DF) and include all teaching material, at no cost to students. For certification, a minimum attendance of 70% and completion of 75% throughout the training is required.
