The Porto Industry Regional Meeting (INIP) gained prominence in the program Integration 5.0 as an initiative that has been growing and consolidating a strategic space for articulation between fundamental sectors for the Brazilian economy. Created in 2022 with the proposal to bring the industry closer to the port environment, the event became a nationwide movement.
According to the content presented, the project was born from the perception that industry and ports need to work in an integrated manner to guarantee Brazil’s competitiveness, especially in a global scenario of pressure for logistical efficiency and cost reduction.
Over the course of the editions, the event expanded its relevance and began to travel to different regions of the country. In Recife, the event reinforced the logistical potential of the Northeast and the transformative role of ports in regional development, pointing out new opportunities for economic growth outside the traditional axis.
INIP, as highlighted in the program, has become a space for exchanging experiences, creating connections and building practical solutions to challenges in the sector, including infrastructure bottlenecks, port modernization and integration with production chains.
The organization announced that a new chapter will be opened in 2026, with a proposal to further expand the reach of the event and connect sectors considered fundamental to Brazil’s advancement. The expectation is that the next edition will maintain the objective of promoting strategic reflections and stimulating concrete initiatives aimed at logistics integration.
The reading presented in Integration 5.0 is that, in a country with continental dimensions like Brazil, strengthening the relationship between industry and ports is essential to unlock competitiveness, expand exports and generate sustainable development in the regions.
