TOKYO — All 47 games of this year’s World Baseball Classic, which began on Thursday, March 5, will be streamed in Japan exclusively on Netflix as rising rights fees price out traditional broadcasters, though some fear the shift could dampen enthusiasm in a country with an engrained terrestrial TV culture.
