PIKETON, Ohio — A $500 billion data center investment announced by SoftBank Group Chairman Masayoshi Son — described as “the largest single-location investment in human history” — highlights his expanding role as a key intermediary with deep ties to the corridors of power in both Tokyo and Washington.
