Port of Santos announces billion-dollar package and plans new expansion phase

The Port of Santos is going through a strategic moment of transformation, marked by robust investments and strong coordination between the public sector and the private sector. With a central role in Brazilian foreign trade, the port complex is progressing in structural works that promise to increase its operational efficiency and reinforce institutional security.

Among the main projects announced is the construction of the new Federal Police headquarters within the port area, made possible through an unprecedented partnership model with private investment of approximately R$57 million. The initiative symbolizes a new standard of governance and integration between institutions, strengthening control and oversight of operations.

Another highlight is the second phase of the Guarujá perimeter, a project awaited for decades that finally comes to fruition with an estimated investment of R$1 billion. The intervention will be fundamental to improving the logistics flow, connecting the port to future strategic structures, such as the Santos-Guarujá tunnel and new airport projects.

Furthermore, the port will also expand its capacity with the construction of new berths in the Alemoa region, a direct result of the mobilization of private operators interested in accelerating the growth of operations.

The financial results follow this movement. The Santos Port Authority recorded recurring profit of R$938.9 million in 2025, growth of 22.3% compared to the previous year, reflecting management efficiency and increased demand.

The combination of planning, investments and institutional cooperation positions the Port of Santos as a protagonist in the global logistics scenario, consolidating its relevance for the Brazilian economy.
