Viracopos International Airport, in Campinas, is today the main logistics center in Brazil. Much more than just a point of departure and arrival for passengers, Viracopos is currently the largest air cargo hub in South America.

Located 17 kilometers from the center of Campinas and 95 kilometers from the center of São Paulo, the Viracopos cargo terminal has an area of 81 thousand m² and corresponds to around 18% of the total cargo movement recorded at Brazilian airports.
Furthermore, the Viracopos Cargo Terminal is one of the most modern in Latin America, standing out for its excellence in the so-called “cold chain”, essential for the transport of pharmaceutical inputs and vaccines, a sector in which the airport is the absolute leader. THE airport complex was the first in Latin America to receive the international CEIV Pharma certification from IATA (International Air Transport Association), a rigorous seal that attests to excellence in cold chain management.
The efficiency of the cargo terminal’s operations attracts the main global cargo companies, creating routes that connect Campinas directly to the Americas, Europe and Asia. This air connectivity is increased by the fact that Viracopos is positioned between highways such as Bandeirantes, Anhanguera and Dom Pedro I, which allow unloaded goods to be transported within a few hours both to the Port of Santos and to the main distribution centers in the Southeast and South.
This performance is also the result of the integration between the airport administration, the Federal Revenue Service and regulatory bodies, such as Anvisa, which means that the release time for goods is significantly shorter than the national average.
By moving around a third of all air cargo imported by Brazil, Viracopos ensures that the most diverse types of cargo reach their final destination without interruptions, consolidating itself as the most vital and dynamic logistics hub in Latin America.
