Pérez y Cia Maroc handles crane trio destined for Nador West Med

Maritime, logistics, and port agency operator Pérez y Cia Maroc acted as the consignee agent for a vessel carrying three ship-to-shore (STS) cranes destined for the terminal at Nador West Med, Morocco.

The operation is part of the development of Nador West Med as a multipurpose port for general cargo, hydrocarbons, coal and containers. The cranes each measured 108.6 m x 27 m x 67.5 m and have lifting capacities of 65 tonnes.

Pérez y Cía Maroc will handle vessels carrying similar cargoes in the future, too.

Connecting Europe, Africa and the Mediterranean, Moroccan ports such as Nador West Med are set to play a key role in making the country a global logistics hub in the future.

Pérez y Cía Maroc is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for Morocco.

HLPFI reported earlier this month that Royal Cargomember of WWPC for the Philippines, delivered a 75-tonne gas turbine rotor from Batangas, the Philippines to Hyogo, Japan.
