Port of Long Beach seeks public input on Pier T redevelopment

The Port of Long Beach is inviting public comment on a proposed redevelopment of the Pier T marine terminal by Total Terminals International.

The project proposes to rehabilitate the terminal’s existing infrastructure, transition cargo handling operations to zero-emissions technologies and increase utilisation of on-dock rail.

The proposed redevelopment forms part of a broader programme of projects at the Port of Long Beach designed to expand container handling capacity in anticipation of future volume growth while reducing the environmental and community impacts of terminal operations.

Public comments gathered during the consultation period will inform the preparation of an Environmental Impact Report and Environmental Impact Statement for the project.
