Yusen Logistics expands digital freight booking with Yusen Vantage platform

Yusen Logistics has strengthened its digital freight booking capabilities through the continued rollout of its Yusen Vantage Focus (YVF Book) platform, developed in partnership with enterprise software provider Liferay.

The platform was designed to simplify air and ocean freight bookings across Yusen Logistics’ global network.

Before the rollout, customers and operators managed bookings through emails, Excel spreadsheets and PDF forms. The process required repeated manual data entry, limited shipment visibility and slowed document sharing between stakeholders.

Yusen Logistics developed YVF Book to replace these fragmented workflows with a single digital platform.

The solution provides centralized online booking and automatically transfers booking data into the company’s core systems. It also offers real-time shipment visibility, centralized document management and configurable workflows that support global operations.

The platform includes preloaded booking histories, allowing existing customers to start using the system immediately.

Yusen Logistics deployed the platform across 47 countries and regions within nine months.

The company said the digital platform has reduced manual processing, improved data accuracy and accelerated booking workflows.

Customers now benefit from real-time shipment tracking, self-service capabilities and greater supply chain transparency.

The platform also improves collaboration between shippers, operators and logistics partners by providing a single environment for managing bookings and documents.

Yusen Logistics said the project demonstrates how digital technology can improve operational efficiency while supporting future innovation across its global freight network.
