CMA CGM has announced new Freight All Kinds (FAK) rates for shipments from Asia to North Europe, the Mediterranean and North Africa.
The revised rates will apply from 15 July to 31 July 2026.
Asia to North Europe
The carrier will charge US$4,100 for a 20-foot container.
The rate for 40-foot, 40-foot high cube and 40-foot reefer containers will increase to US$7,000.
The new rates apply to cargo shipped from all Asian ports, including Japan, Southeast Asia and Bangladesh, to all North European ports, including the United Kingdom and ports from Portugal to Finland and Estonia.
Asia to the Mediterranean and North Africa
For shipments to the West Mediterranean, CMA CGM will charge US$5,800 per 20-foot container and US$7,900 per 40-foot container.
Rates to the Adriatic will rise to US$6,000 per 20-foot container and US$8,100 per 40-foot container.
For the East Mediterranean, the carrier will charge US$6,200 and US$8,500 respectively.
Shipments to the Black Sea will cost US$5,900 for a 20-foot container and US$8,000 for a 40-foot container.
The highest rates apply to North Africa, where CMA CGM will charge US$7,300 per 20-foot container and US$10,400per 40-foot container.
The revised FAK rates apply to dry cargo, reefers, out-of-gauge cargo and paying empty containers loaded at all major Asian ports.
CMA CGM said the rate adjustment is part of its ongoing effort to provide reliable and efficient services across its Asia-Europe network.
The carrier noted that the published FAK rates include basic freight and bunker-related surcharges. Other charges, including terminal handling charges (THC), EU ETS costs, safety and security surcharges, contingency charges and local fees, may apply.
