YILPORT orders 53 Konecranes E-Hybrid RTG cranes for four terminals

YILPORT Holding has ordered 53 E-Hybrid rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes from Konecranes to support terminal expansion and lower-emission operations across Europe, Africa and Central America.

The order was booked in the second quarter of 2026. Konecranes will deliver the cranes in batches over the next two years.

The order includes 20 automated E-Hybrid RTGs and 33 manual E-Hybrid RTGs.

Konecranes will supply 10 automated RTGs to Liscont Container Terminal in Lisbon and 10 automated RTGs to Leixões Port in Portugal.

The company will also deliver 18 E-Hybrid RTGs to Acajutla Port in El Salvador and 15 E-Hybrid RTGs to Takoradi Port in Ghana.

The automated cranes for the Portuguese terminals will feature Konecranes Auto-Gantry technology. The system enables fully automated gantry movements and stacking operations without operator supervision.

YILPORT said the investment supports its long-term strategy to build efficient and sustainable port infrastructure worldwide.

Robert Yüksel Yıldırım, Founder, Chairman and CEO of YILPORT Holding, said Konecranes remains a trusted partner. He added that the new RTGs will help the company improve productivity while supporting its transition to zero-carbon technologies.

Tuomas Saastamoinen, Senior Vice President of Port Solutions at Konecranes, said the agreement marks another milestone in the partnership between the two companies.

He said the delivery of 53 E-Hybrid RTGs demonstrates Konecranes’ ability to provide advanced automated and sustainable cargo-handling solutions.

The latest order follows major automated equipment deliveries to YILPORT terminals in Portugal and Sweden in 2025. Konecranes said the new agreement further expands the long-standing cooperation between the two companies.
