Global aviation and logistics solutions provider ProCharter Aviation has launched new direct cargo consolidation and freighter services on four new East Africa airfreight routes from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, Kenya.
Direct cargo flights with one round trip per week will be operated from Nairobi to Mogadishu, Somalia; Kismayo, Somalia; Djibouti; and Juba, South Sudan. Flights will support demand for either full charter loads or consolidation services.
The company said the routes has been launched to support greater access to East African markets from Europe and the Middle East, via Nairobi.
“ProCharter has launched new direct cargo consolidation and freighter services, opening 4 new corridors from Nairobi, Kenya airport, providing a greater range of destinations and supporting regional connectivity with efficiency even in challenging market conditions,” said the company.
“The new route supports growing e-commerce volumes and creates faster import/export access for FMCG and time-sensitive cargo into and out of the East Africa region.
“The initiative is aimed at strengthening the East African air cargo export network and improving access for local businesses to key markets across the East Africa region.”
Founded in the UK, ProCharter Aviation focuses on aircraft charter, aircraft leasing, remote site support, logistics and consultancy services.
The company’s cargo and logistics services include outsized and heavy equipment, humanitarian aid, automotive parts, perishables and general cargo, AOG and airline time critical parts support; plus oil and gas equipment to remote locations.
