TT Club appoints Egerström as commercial director

Swire Shipping expands in Southeast Asia with Dili office

TT Club has appointed Oscar Egerström as commercial director, a newly created role at the
global transport and logistics insurer.

As commercial director, Egerstrom will report directly to TT Club’s underwriting director – Andrew Peers. Egerström will work with the firm’s regional general managers and their teams to identify and drive strategic initiatives, support broker partnerships and drive the development of member-centric products and services.

Having been with TT Club the past 13 years, Egerström boasts more than 20 years of experience in maritime legal, shipping and maritime insurance. Most recently, he was part of the UK & Ireland, Benelux, Nordics and broader Eastern Europe and Central Asian underwriting team. Egerström has also served as TT Club’s digital lead.

“I am delighted to take on this new role and to have the opportunity to work even more closely with our members, brokers and the worldwide transport industry,” said Egerström.

Peers added: “As a mutual, our value proposition has always been about much more than just writing a policy – it’s about being present, understanding the challenges our members face, providing solutions and building relationships that stand the test of time.”

Last month, HLPFI reported that TT Club had urged ports to avoid impulsive actions when assessing ships in distress.
