DOF bags APAC subsea construction deal

Norwegian offshore vessel owner DOF has been awarded a contract for subsea construction and pre-commissioning support services in the APAC region.

The 2018-built CSV Scandi Inventor will be deployed to execute offshore operations scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2026 in north Australian waters.

The scope of work includes DOF’s in-house project management and engineering, as well as procurement and logistics support services. The duration of the offshore campaign is estimated at 160-250 days.

“I am very pleased to see that the Scandi Inventorcombined with DOF’s competence, continues to be in high demand following the vessel’s arrival in the APAC region in early 2026. The vessel now has a firm backlog in the region towards the end of 2027,” said Mons Aase, DOF CEO.

The financial details were not revealed. However, DOF described the deal as large, placing it in the $50m-$100m range.
