Terberg tractors report for duty in Slovenia

The Port of Koper in Slovenia has taken delivery of another 17 Terberg terminal tractors.

The Port of Koper (Luka Koper) has again turned to Terberg for terminal tractors. In February 2025, the port took delivery of nine new Terberg YT223 yard tractors as replacement for older units, leaving the port with a fleet of 80 machines.

Luka Koper has now added another 17 diesel Terberg tractors. “Equipped with latest-generation Stage V engines, they meet the highest emission standards while improving efficiency, reliability, and safety. This investment brings our fleet close to 100 terminal tractors,” the port said.

The larger fleet is needed to manage rising container throughput at Luka Koper. Box traffic grew 12% in 2025 to reach 1.2m TEU and increased by 9% in Q1 2026 to 326,256 TEU.

“In 2025, our terminal tractors recorded more than 374,000 operating hours, while in the first five months of 2026 alone they have already exceeded 163,000 operating hours,” Luka Koper noted.
