Eimskip launches Purple Line – Container News

Eimskip will launch its new weekly Purple Line service in August, strengthening connections between Rotterdam and the Faroe Islands.

The service will initially operate between Rotterdam and Tórshavn. From September, it will expand to include a call at Ålesund, Norway.

The route will be served by a single 700 TEU vessel operating on the following rotation:

Rotterdam – Ålesund – Tórshavn – Rotterdam.

The Purple Line is designed to improve cargo connectivity between continental Europe, Norway and the Faroe Islands through a dedicated weekly service.
