Tractor Supply has partnered with Instacart to offer same-day delivery from over 2,400 stores in as fast as an hour, according to a July 14 announcement.
The capability can help rural Tractor Supply customers access delivery of everyday essentials like pet food and farm animal feed via Instacart, the announcement said. Customers can also order ranch products, garden essentials, tools and hardware through the offering.
“Our partnership with Instacart provides customers with another seamless way to shop Tractor Supply, combining the products they trust with the speed and convenience of Instacart delivery,” said Matthew Rubin, Tractor Supply’s SVP and president of digital and e-commerce, in the announcement.
Tractor Supply is among several retailers that have expanded their same-day delivery options this year to meet consumer demand, including for frequently restocked items like pet food.
The addition of Instacart bolsters Tractor Supply’s delivery capabilities as the company continues to advance its revamped final-mile strategy, which includes installing delivery hub locations and using employees to bring bulkier goods to consumers. Tractor Supply also has a partnership with fast delivery provider DoorDash.
Beyond Tractor Supply, other retailers and brands have linked up with Instacart to offer fast deliveries to consumers. The announcement said more than 2,200 national and local retail banners are available on Instacart’s marketplace. Recent companies to partner with Instacart include Ace Hardware and 1-800-Flowers.com.
