VLI achieved a historic result in the transport of grains and bran in the first half of 2026. Between January and June, the company moved 12.4 million useful tons (MTU), a record volume for the period and 7.9% higher than that recorded in the first six months of 2025.
The performance was driven by a robust harvest and increased demand for logistics solutions aimed at transporting national production. In the second quarter alone, the company transported 7.9 million tons of grains and bran, a result 8% above that obtained in the same period last year and the best ever recorded by the company for the period.

The volumes were distributed across the three main logistics corridors operated by the company. The Northern Corridor connects producing regions of Matopiba and the Central-West to the Port Terminal of São Luís (MA). The Eastern Corridor serves productive areas in Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, while the Southeast Corridor connects agricultural hubs in the Center-West and the Port of Santos (SP).
The result reinforces the importance of railway and port infrastructure for the competitiveness of Brazilian agribusiness, especially in a scenario where record harvests are expected in the country. The expansion of the use of logistics corridors has contributed to greater efficiency in the transport of agricultural production destined for both the domestic market and exports.
The semester’s performance also comes after the company recorded in April, the largest monthly movement of grains and bran in its history, with 2.96 million tons transported by the railways under its operation, indicating the accelerated pace of harvest flow throughout 2026.
“The results reinforce VLI’s role as a strategic partner for Brazilian agribusiness production chains, offering integrated logistics solutions that contribute to the efficient flow of crops and increasing the sector’s competitiveness”, declared Carolina Hernandez, Commercial, Projects and Strategic Planning director at VLI.
