SAAM Towage has taken delivery of two new tugboats built by SANMAR Shipyards in Türkiye. The vessels, SAAM Carancho and SAAM Kanan, completed their sea trials and will soon enter service in Chile and Mexico.
The deliveries form part of SAAM Towage’s ongoing fleet renewal strategy. The company continues to invest in modern vessels that improve operational efficiency, safety and service quality.
Pablo Cáceres, Innovation and New Construction Manager at SAAM Towage, said the new tugboats reflect the company’s commitment to modernizing its fleet and delivering solutions tailored to customers’ operational needs. He added that the investment supports SAAM Towage’s long-term growth strategy.
The latest additions increase the number of SANMAR-built tugboats in SAAM Towage’s fleet to 15. The partnership between the two companies began in 2018 and focuses on safety, efficiency and sustainability.
