Antwerp North marshalling yard to get major automation upgrade

Europe’s second largest rail freight marshalling yard, Antwerp North, is set for a major control and automation upgrade. Belgium’s infrastructure manager Infrabel has awarded the project to a consortium of Cegelec Infra Technics and Kontron AIS, with completion scheduled by the end of 2028.
