DOF reported the award of the contract described as large, with value between $50 million and $100 million, today, July 7, for subsea construction and pre-commissioning support services in North Australian waters.

The scope of work includes the company’s in-house project management and engineering, procurement and logistics support services.

Skandi Inventor will be used for the offshore operations, planned to begin in Q4 2026 and expected to last between 160 and 250 days.

Mons AaseCEO of DOF Group, said: “I am very pleased to see that Skandi Inventor, combined with DOF’s competence, continues to be in high demand following the vessel’s arrival in the APAC region in early 2026. The vessel now has firm backlog in the region towards the end of 2027, and we look forward to continuing to deliver safe, efficient and world class subsea and marine services.”

Skandi Inventor was built in 2018, is 137.6 meters long and can accommodate 120 people. It is of Marin Teknikk 6027 design.

DOF announced in August 2025 a long-term commitment in APAC for the vessel that began this January and has a duration of one year, with further extension options. This May, the Norwegian firm reported the win of a contract valued at between $25 million and $50 million for the deployment of Skandi Inventor in the second quarter of 2027 in North Australian waters.
