This week, São Vicente welcomes the Mammography and Entrepreneurship Carts, installed in Praça Coronel Lopes, in an action that reinforces women’s access to essential health services and professional training. The initiative brings together, in the same space, preventive medical care and activities aimed at strengthening women’s economic autonomy.

Carreta da Mamografia provides free exams, considered essential for the early diagnosis of breast cancer. The decentralization of this service contributes to reducing pent-up demand in the public health network and facilitates access for women who often face difficulties in taking the exam in fixed units.

Carreta do Empreendedorismo acts as a training and guidance space, offering lectures, courses and practical workshops. The activities cover topics such as financial planning, small business management, female entrepreneurship, marketing and development of professional skills, with a focus on generating income and encouraging financial independence.

The presence of the trucks in São Vicente is part of a public policy strategy that seeks to bring services closer to the population, promote social inclusion and strengthen the role of women in local economic development.
