The Port of Aveiro recorded, on February 4th, a record in its operational activity by moving 117,874 tons of cargo in just six hours.
The result was achieved thanks to a short window of more favorable weather conditions, which made it possible to accelerate and concentrate operations in a limited period. Between 11:30 am and 5:30 pm, 22 ships were maneuvered, involving import and export movements, in a coordinated effort that included reinforcement of resources and teams.
The technical piloting structures, the naval train and the port coordination service were involved, as well as the concessionaire responsible for tug and mooring services, ensuring high standards of safety and efficiency.
This performance highlights the logistical capacity of the Port of Aveiro and reinforces its strategic weight in maritime transport, consolidating its position among the main port hubs in the country.
