USA-headquartered designer and manufacturer of intelligent motion solutions for material handling Columbus McKinnon (CMCO) has expanded its Crosby Easy-Loc bolt securement system to include 16 new capacities compatible with several Crosby shackles.
The Crosby Easy-Loc bolt securement system includes 16 new capacities compatible with Crosby G-2130, G-2140, and G-2160 shackles. Capacities for the former vary from 25-150 tons (22.7-136.1 tonnes); the G-2140E 30-175 tons (27.2-158.8 tonnes); and the G-2160E 30-55 tons (27.2-49.9 tonnes).
CMCO claims that Easy-Loc delivers enhanced safety, faster installation and long-term reliability by removing the need for cotter pins and enabling fast, tool-free, ergonomic assembly. Installation can be completed in three steps, with one hand, allowing users to complete an assembly 90 percent faster than the traditional bolt, nut, and cotter pin method, according to CMCO.
With its patented design, Easy-Loc is corrosion-resistant and engineered for lasting performance in demanding environments. It is also DROPS compatible, minimising the risk of dropped components.
Easy-Loc is compatible with new and existing shackles already in service, with integrated handles available on larger sizes to allow for safer and easier handling.
CMOC acquired Kito Crosby earlier this year.
