Meeting seen as key to sustaining trade truce, future Trump-Xi meetings

SHANGHAI — China on Thursday said it is in communication with Washington, after U.S. President Donald Trump rescheduled his “monumental” meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, in Beijing, as the two superpowers seek to stabilize ties and maintain their trade war detente through November.
