APS begins the dredging project to deepen the navigation channel at the Port of Santos

Port Authority overturns injunction and issues work order to begin work

APS / Disclosure

Last Friday (17/07), the Santos Port Authority (APS) began the project to deepen the navigation channel at the Port of Santos from 15 meters to 16 meters. After obtaining the revocation of the injunction that suspended the result of the bidding, APS issued a service order authorizing the winner of the event, Jan de Nul do Brasil Dragagem Ltda., to begin the works.

Deepening dredging expands the capacity of the Santos port complex. The project includes the environmental licensing stages of the project; preparation of Basic and Executive Projects; execution of deepening dredging; and carrying out maintenance dredging of the new template for a period of up to two years.
