Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has given officials ten days to draw up a plan for bringing 10,000 idle freight wagons from partner countries into Uzbekistan, after complaints from businesses over worsening rolling-stock shortages. He also tasked the government with pursuing 200 million dollars of World Bank financing for railway infrastructure to help plug the wider capacity gaps.
