The dredging operations will take place at Nairn Harbor from late October to support safe access for harbor users, the Highland Council said.

"To facilitate the works, a temporary contractor compound will be established within part of Nairn Harbor car park and some parking restrictions will be in place while works are underway," the Council said.

The dredging operation is expected to begin on October 28 and will be carried out over two periods of spring tides, with work taking place over approximately four to five days during each period.

Following completion, all temporary works will be removed and the site reinstated, the Council concluded.
