Amogy to Test Ammonia Cracking Technology in Singapore
The pilot aims to produce up to 1 mt/day of hydrogen when the system is deployed in 2027.
Technology company Amogy will pilot its ammonia cracking system at a new low-carbon technology facility on Singapore’s Jurong Island in 2027.
The project involves Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), with support from the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), Amogy said in an emailed update on Thursday.
The system will be installed at the Low-Carbon Technology Translational Testbed, where it will be tested under industrial conditions.
Amogy will supply its reformer and catalyst technologies, while working with A*STAR to develop lower-cost catalysts for ammonia-based hydrogen production.
