Maritime artificial intelligence company AskChief has opened its specialised AI platform to the wider shipping market after surpassing 100 vessels in less than a year of live use with shipowners and ship managers.

The company, which has offices in Athens and London, said its technology is already being used by maritime operators including Seanergy Maritime, Castor Ships, Iblea, Delia and IMECS, part of the ITOCHU Group. According to AskChief, customer usage of its platform typically triples within the first 90 days of deployment, indicating growing adoption among technical and compliance teams.

The expansion marks a new stage in the company’s commercial development, following initial deployments that helped shape its two specialised solutions, AskChief Technical and AskChief Compliance.

AskChief’s platform is designed to help shipping companies access and use operational knowledge stored across technical manuals, safety management systems (SMS), vessel records and previous incidents.
