Australia Post Chief Executive Officer Paul Graham will retire at the end of the financial year on June 30, the corporation announced on Thursday.

Graham informed the board of directors of its intention after more than five years as CEO.

“Paul delivered landmark reforms under our Post26 Strategy with the support of our shareholders and launched the next phase of our modernisation through our Post30 plan. He has strengthened our role in Australia’s eCommerce economy, enhanced the customer experience and transformed our operations. These strategies have set Australia Post on a clear path to long-term sustainability,” said Chairwoman Siobhan McKenna, in a statement.

The Australia Post board has launched a search process for the next Group chief executive that will include internal and external candidates.
