The deal will support development of the Bahamas as an LNG hub, anchored by Excelerate Energy’s planned offshore LNG storage and distribution terminal located near the island of Grand Bahama.
In brief: • The AxDo Bahamas joint venture was established in October 2026 to conduct small-scale LNG and bunkering operations in the region.
• Agreement with Excelerate Energy for delivery of up to 16 trillion BTU of LNG a year makes AxDo Bahamas an anchor customer of planned Bahamas LNG hub, providing a long-term commercial foundation for the project.
• The Bahamas LNG Hub will support growing LNG demand in The Bahamas and throughout the Caribbean. Under an 11-year supply agreement announced today, AxDo Bahamas Limited will become an anchor customer of Excelerate Energy’s planned offshore LNG storage and distribution terminal. The agreement provides for deliveries of up to 16 trillion British thermal units (TBtu) of LNG a year, establishing a long-term commercial foundation for the Bahamas LNG Hub.
