AxDo Bahamas, a joint venture between Swiss energy company Axpo and Bahamas-based energy and maritime logistics company Domicisle LNG, has signed an 11-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply agreement with US-based Excelerate Energy to support the development of an LNG hub in the Bahamas.

Under the agreement, announced on Thursday (5 November), Excelerate Energy will supply AxDo Bahamas with up to 16 trillion British thermal units (TBtu) of LNG annually, making the joint venture an anchor customer of the planned Bahamas LNG Hub.

The offshore LNG storage and distribution terminal is planned near Grand Bahama and is intended to serve marine bunkering, power generation and other downstream customers in The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean.

AxDo Bahamas was established in October 2026 to conduct small-scale LNG and bunkering operations in the region.
