Tianjin International Cruise Home Port handled back-to-back calls by two ships on longer voyages, with the Azamara Pursuit arriving on Oct. 18 and the residential ship The World following on Oct. 19.

The 30,277-ton Azamara Pursuit docked on Oct. 18 with more than 600 guests from the United States, Australia, Canada and other countries.

The World arrived on Oct. 19 for a four-day stay, with an estimated 140 guests entering China.

With both ships on long voyages rather than homeport deployments, their consecutive calls meant the northern port had two visiting ships alongside at once. Tianjin Port Group planned berths and passenger flows under a “one ship, one plan” approach to accommodate the ships’ different sizes and lengths of stay.
