C.H. Robinson has introduced new artificial intelligence capabilities for ocean shipping, air freight and customs brokerage, expanding its Lean AI technology into global freight forwarding operations.

The development, announced on October 26, 2026, introduces specialised AI agents capable of handling complex shipping tasks, including freight quotations, ocean booking requests and customs documentation.

According to the company, its AI-powered pricing systems have already generated more than 80,000 freight quotations for over 3,600 customers, significantly reducing the time required to prepare international shipping offers.

Quotations that previously took up to one day for air freight and two to three days for ocean shipments can now be completed in approximately two to three minutes.
