C.H. Robinson has appointed Valerie Capers Workman as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective November 16, 2026. The appointment comes as the global logistics company continues to advance its Lean AI strategy and organizational transformation.
Workman will succeed Angie Freeman, who currently serves as Chief Human Resources & ESG Officer. Freeman plans to retire at the end of 2026 after nearly three decades with C.H. Robinson.
The leadership transition will also bring changes to the company’s management structure. Its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) function will move under Chief Legal Officer Dorothy Capers.
Workman brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience across global organizations. She previously served as Vice President and Head of Human Resources at Tesla and most recently held the CHRO position at Empower Pharmacy.
