CEVA Logistics and Zalando are collaborating with Sereact, NVIDIA and Nebius on an artificial intelligence training system designed to improve robotic handling of e-commerce returns and accelerate the development of automated warehouse operations.
Announced on October 22, 2026, the initiative introduces a closed-loop training process for Cortex, Sereact’s robotic AI system, combining real-world warehouse data with simulation, model training and performance evaluation.
The initial deployment targets Zalando’s returns handling operations at selected CEVA Logistics fulfillment centers, where robotic systems must process products arriving in varying conditions, packaging formats and configurations.
According to the companies, the new approach is designed to shorten robotic training and improvement cycles from weeks to days, allowing systems to adapt more quickly to changing product assortments and operational requirements.
