US LNG exporting giant Cheniere has priced its $1.2 billion offering of senior notes due in 2037.

Cheniere said in a statement that the notes will bear interest at a rate of 5.800 per per annum, will be issued at 99.313 percent of par, and will mature on March 15, 2037.

Cheniere intends to use the proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes, which may include, among other things, the repayment, refinancing or redemption of Cheniere’s and its subsidiaries’ existing indebtedness (including Cheniere Corpus Christi Holdings, LLC’s outstanding 5.125 percent senior secured notes due 2027), funding capital expenditures, working capital, and other business opportunities.

The company reported an 11.5 percent year-on-year increase in its third-quarter net income to $1.17 billion, while quarterly revenue rose 39 percent year-on-year to $6.17 billion.
