Ship received 983 mt of bonded green methanol at Yantian Port ahead of its commercial maiden voyage, marking Guangdong's first cross-customs bonded green methanol supply operation for an international vessel.
Clean energy equipment and services provider CIMC Enric on Friday (30 October) said a 24,168-TEU methanol dual-fuel container ship completed a bunkering operation ahead of its commercial maiden voyage.
The bunkering operation also marked Guangdong’s first bonded green methanol supply to an international vessel through a direct cross-customs arrangement.
The OOCL Grace, one of the world’s largest methanol dual-fuel container ships, has received 983 metric tonnes (mt) of bonded green methanol at Yantian Port in Shenzhen, China, ahead of its commercial maiden voyage.
The green methanol was entirely supplied by CIMC Enric’s subsidiary, CIMC Green Energy Low Carbon Technology (Guangdong) Co Ltd, from its production facility in Zhanjiang.
