China Delivers Second Home-Built 141,900-Tonne Cruise Ship Nearly Two Months Early
Adora Flora City, China’s second home-built large cruise ship, was delivered in Shanghai on November 6 and starts its maiden voyage from Guangzhou on Nov 22.
Adora Flora City, the second large cruise ship built in China, has been handed over to its operator in Shanghai, earlier than originally planned.
The handover took place on November 6, 2026, according to Xinhua. Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding built the vessel for the operator Adora Cruises.
The ship measures 341 meters in length and has 2,130 cabins, with space for up to 5,232 passengers. She is 17.4 meters longer than her sister ship Adora Magic City, which was China’s first large cruise ship built domestically.
The vessel’s gross tonnage is 141,900. For guests, the vessel offers 28 restaurants and bars along with a 200-meter circular running track on deck, according to Global Times.
