CMA CGM has announced three new freight surcharges affecting shipments from Mozambique, China and the Far East. The new charges will take effect on different dates throughout November 2026.

The measures cover port congestion at Beira, overweight containers from China and cargo moving from the Far East to Réunion.

CMA CGM will introduce a Port Congestion Surcharge (PCS) of US$100 per container for shipments from Beira, Mozambique, to all destinations.

The new charge will apply to dry, hazardous and out-of-gauge (OOG) cargo from 15 November 2026. However, countries subject to filing requirements will have a later implementation date of 30 November 2026.
