Daimler Truck North America sues former employee, alleging he and his wife took millions from the company.

Daimler Truck North America is suing a former employee, news reports say, alleging he and his wife embezzled more than $3 million from the company.

The Oregonian reports Terry Watson and his wife, Krystal, used money supposedly taken from Daimler for vacations to Europe, Las Vegas and Legoland; law firms; spas and sports clubs; preschool and afterschool care; for landscaping at his Hillsboro, Ore., home; and to pay for gas and meals delivered by Uber Eats.

The company says Terry Watson falsified billing records and used company credit cards, spending and then billing the company for things such as "materials/tools" and "safety equipment." Daimler has also sued a construction firm and landscaper, accusing them of doing work for the couple and sending the bills to the company. There's no record of criminal charges, the newspaper says.

Watson started working for Daimler in 2016, news reports say, working in the company's test fleet operations. He worked for the company until November, when he was fired.
