Datamar, a provider of data intelligence for maritime trade in South America, launched Commodity Explorer, a search tool on the home page of datamar.com. It lets exporters, importers, traders, shipping lines, port terminals and analysts see a commodity's maritime trade flows in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Peru and Paraguay within seconds.
Users type a commodity name or HS4 code, choose a country and go straight to the results. Search works in English, Portuguese and Spanish, and quick-pick buttons on the home page lead to the most popular commodities, such as beef, sugar, fruit and coffee, among others.
For Brazilian data, Commodity Explorer offers Datamar data shown side by side with official government data, so users can compare both sources on one screen.
Commodity Explorer is available as of today, free of charge with a limit of 10 reports per month per email address.
