Defense technology company Anduril Industries is developing a specialty laptop it plans to eventually build solely with U.S.-sourced components.
The first step toward that goal is a prototype built this year with technology and investment partner Qualcomm. San Diego-based Qualcomm is supplying the Snapdragon X Series chip that will power the laptop, named BlueChip, Anduril said in an Oct. 27 press release.
The chip is manufactured at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.'s facility in Phoenix, chip designer Qualcomm said in an email to Supply Chain Dive.
