Hamburg-based shipowner Ernst Russ AG has continued its fleet renewal and diversification strategy with the sale of its third container vessel this year. The 2007-built feeder vessel Mirror, with a capacity of 803 teu, is scheduled to be handed over to its new owner in January 2027.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Ernst Russ AG said the sale has no impact on the assets, financial position and earnings for the 2026 financial year as the handover will not take place until 2027.

Earlier this year, the company sold the container vessels EF Emira and EF Emma while expanding its fleet with multipurpose vessels and product-/chemical tankers. The most recent example is the delivery of the newbuild Farrie Russ on October 27, 2026.

With these steps, Ernst Russ said is pursuing the goal of a diversified, modern fleet with a balanced risk profile in terms of vessel segments, charter durations, and counterparts.
