Gibraltar recorded 477 bunker calls in September, up 11% from 431 in the same month last year, according to data from the Gibraltar Port Authority.

Despite this being the port’s busiest September since 2021, bunker calls were almost flat from August, rising by just one call.

The port recorded 4,286 bunker calls in the first nine months of 2026, an 11% increase from the same period last year. This is the highest January-September total since 2021.

Monthly bunker calls in 2026 have exceeded the five-year average for 2021-2025 in every month except January. September calls were well above the five-year average of 386.
