GlobalBQS went live on 2 November 2026 with a platform that brings one standard to bunker quantity surveys and on-/off-hire surveys, wherever a vessel is.
Today every surveyor reports in their own format. Figures are locked in PDFs, invoices arrive from every port, and when a dispute comes up, owners and charterers end up searching through e-mails. GlobalBQS changes that without changing who does the survey. The client keeps its own surveyor – VPS, Saybolt, FOBAS or any independent surveyor – who reports in the GlobalBQS survey app, on board, online or offline. The surveyor approves a draft, and the final report arrives in the client’s portal and inbox in one standard format, typically within hours.
Every survey then becomes data. In the client portal, owners and charterers see where logbook figures and measured ROB drift apart per vessel and grade, which suppliers and barges deliver short, and every letter of protest on record. A fuel chain follows every tonne per charter, from delivery to redelivery. Vessels, suppliers and surveyors are rated on measured facts, against an anonymised network benchmark.
