Dubai-headquartered Goltens Worldwide has announced that it has entered into an agreement to sell the business to HD Hyundai Marine Solution (HMS). The transaction is anticipated to be completed in the late fourth quarter of 2026 or early first quarter of 2027.
The agreement aims to combine Goltens’ global engineering and service capabilities with the complementary strengths of HMS. Following the completion of the sale, Goltens will continue to operate as an independent service provider with a global network of service centres and field engineering teams. However, it is considered that the combined organisation will be able to better serve HMS’s growing aftermarket customer base, including the large fleet of vessels and engines built by HD Hyundai, offering faster repair, maintenance and retrofit support worldwide for these ships.
Goltens and HMS say that by working together they see significant potential to help customers meet increasingly complex maintenance, operational efficiency and decarbonisation requirements across the marine, energy and industrial sectors.
“This agreement creates an exciting opportunity to build on the strengths of Goltens and broaden what we can deliver for our customers,” comments Sandeep Seth, CEO of Goltens Worldwide. “Our independence and the trust our customers place in us are central to our business. We will continue to serve them with the same responsiveness, technical expertise and commitment they have always expected from Goltens. With HMS, we see considerable scope to invest, grow and develop capabilities that will create lasting value for our customers.”
