HAECO, a global leader in aircraft engineering and maintenance solutions, has successfully completed its first Trent XWB-84 Module 52 swap in Hong Kong, marking a significant milestone in the expansion of its engine support capabilities across the Asia-Pacific region.

Developed with Rolls-Royce, the project supports HAECO’s “front porch to full house” strategy by bringing flexible, rapid-response engine maintenance closer to airline operations. The successful Module 52 swap further demonstrates HAECO’s ability to deliver customer-centric solutions at the point of need, helping airlines reduce engine downtime and improve fleet availability.

The milestone was achieved through close coordination between HAECO Global Engine Support and Rolls-Royce. Together, the teams provided comprehensive support including personnel training, tooling and material readiness, and engineering evaluation of maintenance procedures.

“The successful completion of our first Trent XWB-84 Module 52 swap reflects HAECO’s continued investment in advanced engine services and our commitment to helping customers maintain operational continuity while improving maintenance cost efficiency,” said George Edmunds, Group Director Component and Engine Services at HAECO. “By performing this work locally, we are enhancing the flexibility of our engine services network and enabling airlines to access timely, high-quality support closer to their operations.”
