The measures include two Peak Season Surcharges (PSS) and a General Rate Increase/General Rate Adjustment (GRI/GRA), with implementation dates ranging from November 6 to December 1, 2026.
The changes apply to different container types and trade corridors, with charges calculated either per container or per twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU).
Hapag-Lloyd will introduce a Peak Season Surcharge of US$500 per container for refrigerated cargo moving from Karachi and Port Qasim in Pakistan to selected Arabian Gulf destinations.
